Irena
Strzinar is the founder and Creative Director of Bliss.
The philosophy of
Bliss is simple: sometimes the most generous thing we can do for others is to
take some time for ourselves and to follow what we love.
Bliss
was created by Irena, simply by doing what she loved!
Irena started painting
when she was working as a professional engineer, in order to indulge her passion
for creativity and colour.
Soon
Irena was painting chairs, pots, tables, mirrors, and anything else she could
get her hands on. She sold her one-of-a-kind painted pieces through various stores
and galleries in Toronto. She was also a feature artist on Citytv's Cityline "Homeday"
television show.
Irena
continued to develop her passion for colour by painting on canvas, and has had
several exhibitions of her paintings. Her work is inspired by colourful images
that serve to uplift the spirit and
also reflects her love of the ocean, surfing and Hawaii.
Irena
has expanded her visual creativity to include Bliss
cards, journals, and other creative services such as interior colour consultation
and design, mural painting and graphic & web design.
Other Bliss products are also currently in development!
Irena
also began practicing yoga and meditation as a means to add balance, strength
and flexibility to her life. Her love of these transformative experiences led
her to become a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher. Since then she has provided healing
yoga & meditation experiences to others, in private, group and corporate settings.
In
essence, the studio was founded to encourage others to follow
their bliss!
